This is an update to the previously posted announcement regarding the possible loss of power to Sheffield. The previous announcement can be found here for your reference:
http://usertools.plus.net/status/archive/1182854974.htm
Power has now been restored to the majority of Sheffield, however as a result of the damage caused by the severe weather there are power outages planned throughout today in order to ensure that this remains the case. More information on this can be found here:
http://ceelectricuk.com/page/news/current/detail.cfm?articleId=147&mode=current
The engineers are still working to stabilise the Ulley dam, and the water level is reducing so the immediate danger of a major power loss has been reduced, more information on this can be found on the BBC website here:

We are still experiencing difficulties with the usual travel routes to and from our offices, as such our Customer Support Centre is likely to be working with reduced resources throughout the day. As we did yesterday we will be advising staff who can't get to the office to work tickets from home, and request that where possible customers raise tickets via our website rather than calling us to help us during this time.
We have contingency plans in place should the loss of power occur, and will provide further updates should the situation change.
Kind Regards
Mand Beckett
