Maintenance Window:-
Wednesday 27th June 11:30am-1:00pm.
Service Affected:-
Sheffield based services including Email, FTP, Homepages and all Portal services.
Duration of expected customer impact:-
Approximately 5 minutes.
Detailed description of work to be performed:-
As announced in a previous posting, there is the potential today for parts of Sheffield to be without power following the recent flooding that has affecting parts of the city and its surrounding areas:-

At approximately midday today we will be failing over to a back up generator at one of our Sheffield data centres. This work is being conducted to ensure that we are fully prepared in the event that power is lost at the site.
Expected customer impact:-
We do not expect any customer impact as a result of this work. However, there is a small possibility that during the maintenance window, customers may experience a short service interruption to email, portal and FTP services. Customer websites hosted on our homepages platform may also be inaccessible for a short period of time.Critical services are replicated across a second data centre and there are precautions in place should the back-up power supply fail. In the unlikely event that there are problems, customers may see extended interruptions to all Sheffield based services.
Other Notes:-
None.
Kind Regards,
Bob Pullen
