This is an update to the previously reported problem affecting the delivery of email to customers' mailboxes. A copy of the last announcement can be seen here:-

Whilst the vast majority of email is being sent, received and delivered in a timely fashion, some customers have reported intermittent delays in the arrival of messages to their accounts. These delays are not related to the initial problem however and are being investigated separately.

Following further investigation by our vendors, we can confirm that the email still queued on the anti-spam appliances is almost entirely made up of failed delivery reports. These messages are expected to clear down as they expire.

All legitimate email has now been dequeued with the possible exception of a small number of valid failed delivery reports and spam emails.

A full incident report will be published shortly and Service Status will remain at amber pending its publication.
