Incoming Email Delays (46136) - NEW

We are currently investigating scattered reports from customers who are experiencing delays in the arrival of email that has been sent to them.

There are approximately 12,000 messages queued on our email platform that are yet to be delivered to customers. These messages will have been sent between the hours of 2:00pm and 3:00pm yesterday afternoon and have been delayed due to unexpected problems our engineers encountered whilst debugging the recent service problems that led to the loss of some customers' mail. Some of the delayed email will have already been delivered and we expect the remainder to be dequeued over the next couple of hours.

A second issue has also been identified that is suspected to be related to one of the anti-spam processes running on the inbound mail platform. This has the potential to delay email sent irrespective of the time of day. Investigation into this problem continues and further details will be provided as they become available.

We would like to apologise to customers for the inconvenience being caused by the late arrival of any messages to their mailboxes and will provide another update later on today.
