Data center power failure (46234) - NEW

We have recently encountered a problem with the back up power supply at one of our Sheffield data centres.
Whilst this is not currently service affecting, the fact that the back-up power supply is off-line leaves us in a situation where the reduced redundancy could cause problems in the event of a service failure.
Our UPS suppliers have an engineer on site and are looking to restore service as quickly as possible.

In the meantime our engineers are ensuring that we have sufficient mechanisms in place should we need to failover to a secondary data centre.

Further details regarding the progress of the problem will be provided later today.
