Incoming Mail Delays (46314) - UPDATE
Posted on: Tuesday 11 September 2007, 16:03
This is an update to the previously reported issue regarding incoming email delays. A copy of the previous report can be found here:-
http://usertools.plus.net/status/archive/1189499743.htm
Our network engineers have resolved a configuration issue with our ClamSpam spam filtering system, which was contributing to the mail delays seen by some customers over the last 24 hours.
We are aware that a number of customers are still seeing incoming delays on a small percentage of their email.
Following a full evaluation of the causes for these delays , we have identified a number of improvements that are required in order to mitigate the problem.
A summary of the changes has been published to a recent blog post that can be seen here:-
http://community.plus.net/comms/2007/09/11/upcoming-email-platform-changes/
These changes will undergo full testing and be rolled out using a phased approach. As a result there will still be occasional delays in the receipt of some customers' email until the rollout is fully complete (this is expected to be next week).
We would like to thank customers for their patience and will provide a progress update early next week.
Kind Regards,
Mand Beckett
