This is an update to the previously reported problem preventing access to our news servers. A copy of the last announcement can be seen here:-

Unfortunately there are still some issues connecting to the servers from some IP addresses. Most of these are in the range 212.159.xxx.xxx

We are also continuing to experience difficulties with authentication on accounts that allow it.

This issue is still under investigation with our networks team and further information will be provided as soon as it is available.
