Problems forwarding emails from uk2.net addresses (53119) - UPDATE

This is an update to yesterday's post about the problems forwarding email to Plusnet addresses using uk2.net's mail servers. You can see a copy of the last announcement here - http://usertools.plus.net/status/archive/1220547771.htm
The changes we made yesterday afternoon have had a positive impact on the problem and customers are now reporting that their uk2.net forwarded emails are now arriving in a timely fashion.
Unfortunately, the changes we made have also resulted in a marked increase in the volume of spam that is now arriving in some customers' mailboxes. This is because it has rendered the Edge Protection feature we offer far less effective than it used to be.
We are hoping to make another change later this afternoon to rectify this imbalance and will post further details regarding this nearer the time.
