Planned Traffic Management Platform Maintenance - Wednesday 8th July 6.00am-8.00am
ADSL Dial
Posted on: Tuesday 7 July 2009, 16:15
When's this work happening?
Tomorrow morning.
What does it affect?
Broadband traffic prioritisation.
How long will it take?
About an hour.
What does the work involve?
We will be further refining the traffic management signatures that we use to identify BBC iPlayer traffic. This is being done to ensure that the BBC's streaming service continues to receive a high priority on our network. We will also be reloading each of our traffic management switches to resolve a recently encountered problem.
Is it likely to cause problems?
Broadband customers connecting to the Internet whilst the traffic management switches are being reloaded may be assigned the wrong traffic management profile.
Is there anything else I need to know?
If you encounter performance problems once the maintenance is complete then we suggest that you try rebooting your modem or router. This will make sure that you're assigned the correct traffic management profile.
Kind Regards,
