This is an update to the problems we experienced earlier that meant we had to temporarily take some of our websites offline.

The problem was caused by an unexpected restart of one of our database systems. Investigation continues into the root cause and why our resilient systems did not handle the failure gracefully.

Service has however been restored and all of our websites are available again.
