This is an update to the post we made earlier in the week about problems some customers had been experiencing accessing websites and other resources once connected to the Internet.

Yesterday our network engineers identified a problem with one of our edge routers that was causing loss of data transfer for customers.This happened at a similar time to another problem affecting BT Wholesale's network. We think it's a combination of these two things that originally led to the problems being reported by customers.

Service has since been restored and we would like to apologise to anybody who had connectivity problems yesterday.

We would also like to remind customers that we are still investigating reports of slow speeds and performance issues during the evenings when the network's busy. A further update will be posted regarding these problems shortly.
