Slow Broadband Speeds (59438) - NEW
ADSL Dial
Posted on: Tuesday 24 November 2009, 20:10
We are currently investigating a problem resulting in slow throughput/download speeds for some of our broadband customers.
Two of our 622Mbps BT Centrals are affected by this problem which in some cases is causing speeds to drop below 1Mbps for certain customers.
We are putting measures in place to steer traffic away from these central pipes whilst the root cause is established. If you believe you are affected by this problem then you should try disconnecting/reconnecting until your speeds return to normal.
Unfortunately because traffic for the two affected BT Centrals is spread across a number of our gateways, there's no easy way for customers to tell whether or not they are connected to one of the problematic pipes.
Sorry about the inconvenience.
We will provide another update as soon as further information becomes available.
Kind Regards,
Bob Pullen
