Broadband Disconnections (pcl-ag02) - NEW
ADSL Dial
Posted on: Friday 27 November 2009, 11:50
At approximately 11.00am this morning customers connected to two of our central pipes were inadvertently disconnected from the Internet.
This appears to be a problem with the gateway known as pcl-ag02 which we recently patched in a bid to prevent problems of this nature occurring.
At the time of writing the gateway is no longer accepting connection attempts from customers. This means that it may take longer than usual for customers who are offline to connect to the Internet. It also means that more traffic is now being pushed to other gateways which could cause speed problems as we approach the peak time period.
If you were disconnected from the Internet this morning and are having problems getting back online then we suggest that you switch off your modem or router for 30 minutes before powering it back up and attempting to reconnect.
We would like to apologise for the inconvenience and will provide another update later today.
Kind Regards,
Bob Pullen
