Broadband Disconnections (pcl-ag03) - NEW
ADSL Dial
Posted on: Thursday 3 December 2009, 17:53
At approximately 4.30pm this afternoon customers connected to one of our central pipes (Plusnet 10) were disconnected from the Internet. These customers will have been connected to the gateway known as pcl-ag03.
A problem has been identified with the fibre that connects our edge router to the BT central. The fibre has been replaced and the central is taking sessions again.
This does leave the network in a state of imbalance though so throughout the early part of the evening we may need to briefly disconnect some more customers from the other gateways to bring things back into line.
We will leave this Service Status thread open until we're comfortable the network is back in balance.
If you were disconnected late this afternoon and are having problems getting back online then we suggest that you switch off your modem or router for 30 minutes before powering it back up and attempting to reconnect.
Kind Regards,
Bob Pullen
