Access to the CGI Platform (61005) - UPDATE
CGI Services
Posted on: Monday 15 March 2010, 12:15
This is an update to Friday's announcement about access to our CGI web hosting platform.
Our network engineers have been working over the weekend to restore access to the servers.
We will post another update later this afternoon to confirm whether or not this is going to be possible today. We would like to reassure customers that we're doing all we can to restore access as soon as possible.
When we bring the platform live again, it will be running on newer servers with Apache 2 and PHP5 installed.
Most PHP4 code will run under PHP5 however you should be aware that PHP5 is not 100% backwards compatible. You can find further details about the backwards compatibility of PHP5 here - http://php.net/manual/en/migration5.incompatible.php
We would like to thank customers for their continued patience and apologise for any problems that this situation has caused you.
If you have any immediate questions about this announcement then we suggest that you visit our Community forums as opposed to raising a ticket on your account - http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/board,6.0.html
Kind Regards,
Bob Pullen
