Peak time latency and slowdowns (74185) - NEW

Over the last few weeks we've noticed an increase in the number of customers querying their broadband speeds slowing down and increased latency mainly during peak times.

We've been working with hardware vendors and our network engineeers to identify and resolve the issues, however we're aware that some customers are still seeing problems.

These fixes have involved adding more hardware into our network and installing new software patches on to the platform that have been developed by the vendors. Unfortunately whilst the majority of the latency issues have been resolved, we're still seeing customers have significant slowdowns during the evening peak period.

In some instances this may be due to a problem with the individual line or exchange and we're working with our faults teams to resolve these, for those where there is no obvious fault we're continuing to investigate the underlying cause.
