Regional Engineering Appointment Delays - UPDATE

We have received an update from BT Openreach about the MBORC (Matter Beyond Our Reasonable Control) they declared recently across certain areas of the country. These MBORC announcements are to notify us of provision appointment availability delays due to recent bouts of severe weather.

A copy of the notice is as follows:

"Following the impacts of severe storm conditions at the end of October, Openreach declared MBORC for provision appointment availability in a number of affected areas, with effect from midnight Sunday 27 October 2013.

We have been working hard to bring service back to the levels they were at before the storm and were able to remove MBORC for provision appointment availability from Bournemouth with effect from 23:59 Thursday 7 November 2013.

We are now able to remove MBORC for provision appointment availability from the following areas, with effect from 23:59 Sunday 10 November 2013:

Reading
Maidenhead
Southampton
Taunton
Guildford

MBORC for provision appointment availability remains in place in the following areas:

Cambridge
Colchester and Ipswich
Hemel
Southend
Romford
East Downs
Central Downs
West Downs (including the Isle of Wight)
Esher
Croydon
Crayford

MBORC for repair activities remains in place in the following areas:

Cambridge
Colchester and Ipswich
Hemel
Southend
Romford
East Downs
Central Downs
West Downs (including the Isle of Wight)
Esher
Croydon
Crayford
Reading
Maidenhead
Southampton
Bournemouth
Guildford

We are continuing to direct available additional resource into the affected areas in order to bring the position back to normal as quickly as possible.

We will remove MBORC from these areas as soon as service can be restored to levels they were at immediately before this severe weather."
