MBORC Declaration - UPDATE

Posted on: Friday 19 February 2016, 11:35

We have received communications from our suppliers regarding the MBORC (Matters Beyond Our Reasonable Control) declaration for some areas of the country. Please find the information regarding this below:

"Much of the UK has been seriously affected by severe weather conditions over the past two months or so and last week storm Imogen brought further extreme weather, in particular to the west and south west. As a result of this, our infrastructure in a number of our SOM areas was impacted, with extremely high fault levels and serious access and mobility problems for our engineering teams.

Openreach therefore declared MBORC for repair activities in three areas, with effect from 23:59 10 February 2016:

We have been working hard to recover in these areas and are pleased to confirm that we are able to lift MBORC for repair activities from the following area, with effect from 23:59 18 February 2016:

MBORC for repair activities remains in place in the following area:

MBORC for repair activities also remains in place in the following area:

North Wales

The conditions in these areas are particularly challenging but we continue to take steps, including directing additional resource into these areas, to bring the position back to normal as quickly as possible.

We are monitoring the situation and will remove MBORC as soon as service can be restored to the levels they were at immediately before the severe weather."

Kind Regards
