We have received communications from our suppliers regarding the MBORC (Matters Beyond Our Reasonable Control) declaration for some areas of the country. Please find the information regarding this below:

"Parts of the UK were hit by storm Katie over the Easter period, bringing severe weather conditions with high winds and heavy rainfall. As a result of this, our infrastructure in a number of our SOM patches has been impacted both above and below ground, with high fault intake in the affected areas. Openreach declared MBORC for repair activities in six areas, with effect from 12:00 31 March 2016.

We have been working hard to recover in these areas and removed MBORC from 2 areas on 04 April 2016. We can now lift MBORC for repair activities from a further area, with effect from 23:59 Tuesday 05 April 2016:

Isle of Wight

MBORC for repair activities remains in place in the following areas:

West Downs
Taunton
Crayford

We are continuing to take steps, including directing additional resource into these areas, to bring the position back to normal as quickly as possible.

We are monitoring the situation and will remove MBORC as soon as service can be restored to the levels they were at immediately before the severe weather."
